Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church is collecting
We are again working on collecting backpacks for the kids that are clients of the Oley Valley Food Pantry. This year we are only collecting backpacks and snacks to put in the backpacks. We are NOT collecting school supplies, ONLY backpacks. We are trying to get good quality/sturdy backpacks. As far as snacks go, we will be assembling gallon bags of snacks for each backpack. No chips or items that will crush easily. Please refer to the flyer for a suggested list of snack items.
We also accept monetary donations and can use that money to purchase items to fill gaps in what is collected. If you are sending a monetary donation, please mark it clearly for backpacks so that it gets allocated correctly. Donations can be made electronically at friedenslutheran.org/give.
We need any items and money collected by August 16th so that we can organize ourselves for distribution on August 21st.
